Step 2: from Geltenhütte to Iffigenalp

Go up on east of the hut, and follow across pastures and rock barriers until 1800m, 55 min. Going through the pasture, climb to the horizontal ridge covered with trees on the east (Stierwald). Then go up a steep slope until a rock barrier until Stigelschafberg (2300), 1h40. You can avoid this strenuous path doing a detour across Stieretungel pasture, where you can find beautiful swamps of a great ecological significance, 1h40. Follow the flat path on the nothern side of Niesenhorn, across gravel fields and flowery lawns until Wildhornhütte (2303). This hut will provide a very good place to lunch. Hike down the small valley and along the beautiful Iffigen lake. Then the path goes down on moraine and follows a small valley across pastures until Iffigenalp (1584), 2 h.

Up 800 meters, down 1200 meters, 5h30.
